The leased units were to be deployed mainly in the Central Bohemia and Pardubice regions.

The tender for the lease of twenty DMU 140 motor units for Ceske drahy (CD, Czech Railways) did not receive a single bid, therefore the carrier canceled the tender. The leased units were to be deployed mainly in the Central Bohemia and Pardubice regions.

This follows from the information of the contracting authority. Czech Railways announced the tender to bridge the waiting for new units from PESA. It was a tender for the supply of twenty units with a lease for 56 months and an option for three years. The estimated value of the contract was CZK 956 million. The leased units were to be deployed mainly in the Central Bohemia and Pardubice regions.

On the same day, Czech Railways also announced a tender for the lease of three DMU 70 railcars or units for nearly two years for CZK 22 million. The deadline for submitting bids for this tender has expired; the carrier has not canceled nor does it want to comment on the ongoing tender.
