The carrier ordered up to 33 EMUs.

Leo Express will not operate the new Sirius electric units from CRRC. For over two years, they have been tested for approval on the Railway Research Institute (VUZ) test circle in Cerhenice.

Two independent sources confirmed the purchase contract was canceled to CEETransport.com. Leo Express spokesman did not refute the end of the contract. The end of the contract comes only a few months after Spanish investors moved into Leo Express.

Sirius units have been tested on the Czech test ring since September 2019. The tests were significantly complicated by the coronavirus pandemic. CRRC now has two units in the Czech Republic. Leo Express had ordered three units, with an option for 30 more, to be used for further expansion. The units continue to remain on the test ring.
