Omnipol signs agreements for 17 L 410 NG aircraft in Indonesia

The Czech aircraft will provide domestic services in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Omnipol Group has acquired new customers for the L 410 NG aircraft produced by its subsidiary Aircraft Industries. In Jakarta, the company signed a commitment to purchase with WISE Air, Starwisata Air, and Sulut Airways Indonesia for a total of 17 aircraft. The L 410 NG aircraft was on display at the INDO Defence exhibition and now remains in Indonesia for presentation to other customers.
WISE Air and Starwisata Air are civil operators of domestic passenger services in Indonesia while Sulut Airways operates aircraft in Papua New Guinea. According to Omnipol, Negotiations on future deliveries are ongoing and will be finalized within weeks. The L 410 aircraft have been operated in the region by Susi Air since 2017.
Aircraft Industries became part of Omnipol Group in April 2022. Omnipol bought the Kunovice-based aircraft manufacturer from Russian Ostov. Aircraft Industries had been Russian-owned for 14 years and the company ran into problems after sanctions were imposed on Russia. Aircraft Industries delivered eleven aircraft to customers in 2021, compared with 15 in 2020.
