Pesa Elf.eu is the first multi-system unit made in Poland.

RegioJet began regular operation yesterday with three Pesa Elf.eu electric units. The transport company expects to start full operation with all seven units on order (six in service + one backup) by the end of January 2023.

The Rail Authority approved trial operation with passengers at the end of last week. The trains started running on the U7 line between Děčín and Ústí nad Labem and on the U5 line from Ústí nad Labem to Bílina and Most. Full operation of all units will start as soon as all drivers have been trained.

The new trains will replace the old class 628 diesel units. EMU 654 is the first multi-system unit manufactured in Poland to be approved for passenger service. The new units are worth EUR 20.5 million; RegioJet has ordered the same trains for operation in Prague.
