The airline will send 125 employees to Dubai for two months.

After a coronavirus hiatus, Smartwings is returning to cooperation with the United Arab Emirates airline flydubai. The airline will wet lease four Boeing 737-800 aircraft from November 17. The contract is valid until January 16, 2023. Within the ACMI lease, Smartwings will provide aircraft, crew, insurance, and maintenance to the Dubai-based low-cost airline.

23 aircraft abroad

The aircraft in Smartwings livery will be based at Dubai International Airport and will fly on selected routes in the flydubai network, including destinations in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Oman, or Sri Lanka (Chittagong, Colombo, Dhaka, Karachi, Multan, Muscat, and Sialkot).

A total of 125 flight staff (pilots, cabin crew) including technicians and Smartwings operating personnel will head to Dubai. The airline will lease 23 of its 42 aircraft abroad this winter season, namely to the UAE, USA, Canada, and Israel.
