By the end of next year, the carrier wants to own all the buses in its fleet.

In April, the Ústí nad Labem regional carrier (DSÚK) concluded a framework contract with the Turkish bus manufacturer Otokar. The purchase contract is for the delivery of 90 Vectio buses for EUR 14 million. DSÚK has now ordered all 90 buses. The vehicles are to be delivered within 12 months. This contract is a huge success for Turkish Otokar on the Czech market.

DSÚK will also purchase Iveco Crossway buses from Zliner. Regional councilors have already approved a loan of EUR 5.2 million to finance the purchase of twenty 13-meter buses. DSÚK concluded the framework agreement last year and has since signed several purchase contracts with Zliner.

The transport company currently owns 71 Scania buses and 15 Iveco buses and rents more vehicles. For DSÚK, the purchase of new buses should mean strengthening its bus fleet since renting buses from other carriers increases costs.
