The draft also promises faster domestic travel.

The rail infrastructure manager Sprava zeleznic has published a draft timetable which should be valid from December 11, 2022. The final version will appear in the fall; the draft is available on the rail infrastructure manager’s website.

The draft includes night trains planned from Poland and the Czech Republic to the Austrian Alps. In contrast to the original plans, the trains should terminate in Feldkirch; originally, the trains were supposed to go to Brenner. For summer 2023, RegioJet’s timetable also includes a connection from Krakow to Split via Ostrava.

The fastest domestic travel will now be from Prague to Ceske Budejovice. Thanks to the new Sudomerice – Votice section and the modernization of the corridor, the journey time for the Southern Express will be reduced by 18 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes.
